Lake Tahoe, California Part 2
I couldn't ask for a more relaxing and restorative weekend in NorCal. After flying into San Jose, we immediately hit the road for Domaine Carneros winery in Napa, California. The next day we drove to South Lake Tahoe, California, where the weather was peaceful and most of the snow had melted. After getting settled into our place for the weekend, we drove 2 hours to see Travertine Hot Springs. The pools were shallow and small but the mineral water felt soothing. There were hardly any crowds and it felt peaceful and quiet. On the last day, we went on a late morning/afternoon hike from D.L. Bliss State Park to Emerald Bay State Park via Rubicon Trail. The trail felt empty and the entire hike took about 3 hours with 8 miles round trip. My favorite part was being able to see panoramic views of Emerald Bay throughout the trail.
